Alan brought the gift of love and delight to many people during his 30 years. He loved everyone and
in return they loved him. Despite his autism & epilepsy he lived life to the full. He was
irrepressible, funny, caring and inquisitive. He made people laugh in so many different ways, he
made them cry with joy. He will be greatly missed by many, many people.
Hi Mate
The memories are still so fresh and I still look up the stairs for you when I walk into Poplars. A lot of people came to show their love last Thursday and it was very special.
I have a favour to ask of you. My beloved fiancée Dani is coming to join you in heaven. Please find her and make her smile in the same way that you always made me smile. Nazli says it's cool if you want to splash a bit of Brut on for her.
Miss you mate.
Alan, we'll miss our trips out to National Trust properties and garden centres (with the obligatory coffee, scone and jam!) with you so much.
Always so cheerful and chatty, and knowledgeable on so many subjects, especially roads and signs.
7 o'clock won't be the same without your phone calls, catching up on what you've been up to and how you did on today's Countdown.
Always in our hearts
Love from Aunty Pam, Uncle Phil, Scott, Clare, Tony, Lauren & Danielle.
I always knew you as Corinne's little brother Alan, and you always met me and Corinne's other friends with great affection, usually with a teddy for us to greet as well.
I remember me and my family saving car park tickets for you that we knew you'd be so pleased with. I mostly recall how you loved to sing, and listen to music, and the wonderful way you sang 'Give me joy in my heart' at my wedding. I think it inspired everyone to try and sing it with as much joy and gusto as you did.
We will always remember you.
Wishing you peace,
God bless

Alan, it was through Gilfach that I knew you and like so many others remember your vivacious personality and sense of fun. It has been years since I last saw you, however to echo the sentiments of others; once met you are never forgotten. Your warmth and how you faced the challenges in your life so cheerfully will never be extinguished. Rest in peace, love Sally xxx

To Alan
You will be sadly missed by all you have touched through out your life, as anyone one whom has met you has fallen in love with you instantly, your charcter; your innocense and just what made you, you impacted on people's lives so much.
The things you said like "i've just sneezed Karl", "have you Al", "yes i have Karl", "well you have stopped now", "but what do you say Karl", "bless you Al" will always be with me; as other sayings will make other people smile and think "yeah that was Alan".
Alan had a presence that will will never be filled and will always be with us.
Alan you may be missed but everyone you have touched in the smallest way could never ever forget you.
Rest in Peace my Friend.

More memories of Alan
So many memories of you Al, here's some more i thought of... Helping to do Brunch on a Saturday morning and telling me " i did it all by myself, are you proud of me?", Conker collecting and persuading me to climb trees to pluck out the biggest conkers and then giving me a sloppy kiss, Getting stuck in the mud at Beoley stables and telling me my shoes needed to go to prison because they were also stuck in the mud, how we giggled afterwards and you called me a Class A Plonker!!, Sitting in the lounge and watching TV with your head resting on my shoulder, Singing Nights in white satin at the top of your voice whilst wearing your headphones, Asking me if i was " still busy" every time i walked past your room, Making snowflake decorations at Christmas, Doing the Irish jig in the kitchen and watching your reflection in the patio doors, Asking me if i would see your parents on Saturday and had i seen your Dads new car, Our holiday in Weymouth, You holding Amelia when i brought her to see you and introducing her to your bears ( she was 12 days old), Sitting next to me at every meal time we shared. Telling me " I just love you Nicola mate" and hugging me so gently, Watching the trains go by and asking me where they are going to ( even though you knew the answers) Throwing sticks in the canal by tescos, Playing hangman and jenga and seeing your beautiful face light up when you won, All the big hugs and kisses you would give spontaneously and with so much meaning, hope they raise a few smiles.
Memories will keep coming Al and each one will be treasured, they make me smile just like you did xxxx
special man
Alan i loved how friendly you were towards everyone you'd meet telling them all about your countdown homework and your blue ted.
I loved some of the things you'd say like heater heater, i,v sniffed blue ted up my nose, blue teds looking for you, and the list goes on.
I loved your excitable giggle (even if i did have to ask you to calm down sometimes),
I loved your beautiful smile that would light up your big blue eyes
I loved your big hugs and sloppy kisses but most of all i loved how you enjoyed life and appreciated all the small things and was so proud of every achievement no matter what. Good on you Al.
Al you will be so deeply missed but never ever forgotten.
All my love Sarah XXXX
